Purpose of process.browser = true in Electron/nw.js examples

Hi,

What is the purpose of the below line in the nw.js & Electron examples nwjs-amd & nwjs-amd-v2?

// workaround monaco-typescript not understanding the environment
self.process.browser = true;

Problem with this line is breaking other modules, like openapi parser.

Seems like using process.browser is not recommended now a days
