Description of the new feature / enhancement

New+ will support using MS Office template files (i.e., dotx, dotm, xltx, xltm, potx, potm) to create MS Office files (i.e., docx, docm, xlsx, xlsm, potx, potm) in a selected location.

As it currently stands, if the New+ templates folder includes MS Office template files such as Example.dotx, then it will create an exact copy of Example.dotx in the selected location. When the user double clicks on the new file, it opens another file that must be saved as a regular MS Office file (i.e., Example.docx) for editing.

It would be great if New+ would take Example.dotx and create Example.docx in the selected location. There should be option to allow users to convert macro enabled templates (i.e., dotm, xltm, potm) into either a regular MS Office file (i.e., docx, xlsx, potx) or a macro enabled MS Office file (i.e., docm, xlsm, potm).

Scenario when this would be used?

This is useful when users want the New+ templates folder to include MS Office templates. For example, I have a couple dozen MS Office templates that I use with Word. I would like to set the New+ templates folder to the folder where the MS Office templates are stored and then use New+ to create regular MS Office files from the templates.

This is a really interesting idea.

I'd like to explore/implement that at some point after I'm done with a couple of other small improvements - but I can't promise that I'd get around to it but I hope this could get done.

Thank you for sharing.
