In ISO/IEC Coding Guidelines mentions about footnotes with a symbols *, ‡ (asterisk, dagger, double dagger, etc.).

  • IEC ID scheme:

    • Text footnote:
      image

    • Table footnote:
      image

  • ISO ID scheme:

    • Text footnote:
      image

but there aren't the real examples.

We probably want to support them but perhaps not of high priority.
