Expected behaviour

The program mate-indicator-applet-complete must take up an adequate amount of space in memory.

Actual behaviour

The program mate-indicator-applet-complete takes up a lot of memory space after some time: 1.90GiB.

Steps to reproduce the behaviour

Just login and wait some days.

MATE general version

$ apt list --installed ubuntu-mate-desktop 
ubuntu-mate-desktop/jammy,now 1.282 amd64 [installed]

Package version

$ apt list --installed mate-indicator-applet
mate-indicator-applet/jammy,now 1.26.0-1 amd64 [installed,automatic]

Linux Distribution

$ lsb_release -a
Distributor ID: Ubuntu
Description:    Ubuntu 22.04.1 LTS
Release:        22.04
Codename:       jammy

I just looked through my htop and mate-indicator-applet-complete is taking up 483MiB of memory. I'm using a mostly unmodified Mate Ubuntu install.

P.S.: I use suspend frequently. Maybe that has something to do with it? But even during the writing of this post, it went up to 484. And the CPU usage of the applet is also suspiciously high.
