This would work wouldn't it? With the SMTP Config settings in same location as PDF Settings? https://github.com/somnisoft/smtp-client |

No work has been done on sending emails direct from nwipe, ShredOS uses ftp (and sftp in the coming release) but also doesn't send emails. Yes, smtp-client would work in nwipe. I'll fork it and look at maybe implementing it. |

Hello,
This was discussed in previous conversations including comments from myself @PartialVolume and @martijnvanbrummelen in some threads, but I would like to get status or update as I have been out of loop for a while.
As example, Lsoft aka Killdisk, in thier .WIM file embeds the information when building the ISO. Killdisk offered a free service of a predefined SMTP server and a small form is used with a file attatch option for Wipe Report.
There is also an option to use custom settings.
I believe there are small or single file PHP/C/other micro email programs where the pdf reports can be sent. If a config file is put in user space like the PDF Config settings in Nwipe then they could be easily modified as required.
I think Killdisk allow for use of setting several ports for sending the emails.
This allows for large wiping tasks for the PDF Wipe Report to be quickly sent to a business shared group email like:
[email protected] where they can quickly be sorted and saved to SharePoint or other certificate repository and elliminates manually copying files from USB Flash drives, transposting USB Flash drive to primary IT user device, creating email and finally attaching file and or to certificate repository.
