For those of us without a camera, it would be nice to see a 3d preview of the file that is currently printing and maybe an image of the current layer being printed etc?

The Thumbnail should provide an image of the thing you will print.

Do you see it?

I realized that for the thumbnail to work I had to change the port in the integration settings - it defaulted to port 80.

but adding 3D model, I am not sure how we would do this in Home Assistant.

It's a cool feature, but unless someone codes it, I won't try to implement it in the sort term
