It seems that the SMI handler somehow gets confused and hangs (ACPI method is named ESMI, and IO port 0xb2 is often used to initiate a SMI).

Can you share a dump of your ACPI tables?
I wonder why opcode 0x70 (Store) produces both a read and a write.

The read is presumably a result of Preserve being set on the field? If that's the case, then this is possibly an example of #144 causing problems in the wild.
