The email app will not authorise after a while. With my account on something like 600 PUTs the email app just hangs on ‘initialising’ after authorising. After about 10 seconds it fails with a ‘cannot be authorised’ popup. I tried clearing everything and restarting but same thing happened. I then created a new account with a new invite code and it worked first time.

I'm not able to reproduce the error.
Perhaps we can find more information in your email app log within folder that contains your email app executable. There may be a half-dozen log files. Take note of the time when the error occurs in order to find the right logs. PM me on forums if you need any assistance.

It seems to happen most often when there is more than one app authenticated. Log file attached. Steps to reproduce:
Start and authenticate browser and web hosting manager. Then start email app.
As mentioned it's an occasional error.

When this error occurs how many SAFE applications did you have connected?

Currently there is a limit of 4 clients per IP address. SAFE browser is one client and authenticator is another client, so you'd only have 2 connections available after logging in.

I've tested an confirmed by opening SAFE browser (1st client), logging in to authenticator (2nd client), connecting email app (3rd client), connecting web hosting manager (4th client), then attempting to connect a web client with the web API playground, which is a 5th client. This consistently produces the same error that you received.

Another thing I've just confirmed:
I only have SAFE browser, authenticator, email app, and web hosting manager connected. Intermittently, when closing either email app or web hosting manager I'm unable to reconnect one of them to the network.

Although I'm expecting to still be within the 4 client limit, the client that I closed has not been smoothly released yet from the network. It will take 120 seconds for the network to realize that the connection has been closed after which that connection will be dropped.
I'm then able to reconnect after 120 seconds.

This sometimes happens for me too. In the example I give above though (as logged in the logfile) I started the browser and authenticator, then the web hosting manager, and then the email app - which failed to connect. So nothing had been closed down.

I have had similar problems.
Neo has just given me a new invite token cos I went over the 1000 limit.
Everythign works fine except the email app - just sits there.
Do you want the log files?

What's your operating system?

Yes, please do send log files.

Since I last replied to this thread I've experienced that on Windows I'm not able to connect an authorised application as expected, even when should have say 2 client connections available for my IP.

We're researching this problem.

The problem went away after I restarted the Email Tutorial App.
However I had seen this problem occur with more persistence before I used up the last of my 1000 PUTS on my original Test19 acccount. Some times even a complete restart of Email and Browser apps would not work.
