Emrakul, the Promised End controlling the turn of a different player

The card says "When you cast this spell, you gain control of target opponent during that player’s next turn." however I dont get to do anything during their turns where I would control them. Instead the player takes actions by themself. I don't know how long it has been in since the deck I was brewing just got ported to Xmage.
