We have a very prehistorical version of QEMU! 7.1.0 is been tagged in August of the 2022.

We can to use the Github mirror probably: https://github.com/qemu/qemu

I think I'm encountering a side-effect now from our QEMU's age: Our debian-sources config (so, the config used in Debian) has CONFIG_MEMCG_V1=n, but our QEMU seems to expect the deprecated memcgroup-v1 support. That issue can be fixed for now by forcing the option on in the ebuild with (probably...) no other consequences.
