This issue was opened by a bot after a user submitted feedback through the in-app form.

Message:

The app should not require screen recording permissions if I'm not using thumbnails. That's a critical privacy concern, and with MacOS Sonoma we get an annoying purple screen capture icon in the menu bar all the times.
