How to update to latest loxilb docker !!

Some users of loxilb face some issues to update to the latest loxilb docker. It is worthwhile to note that with every checkin to loxilb main branch, the latest loxilb docker is instantly availalble for use due to integration with gh-actions. To update to latest, one needs to use the following steps :

1. Get the latest docker image

docker pull ghcr.io/loxilb-io/loxilb:latest

2. Stop and remove any running loxilb docker

docker stop <loxilb-docker-name>
docker rm <loxilb-docker-name>

3. Rerun loxilb docker. For example :

docker run -u root --cap-add SYS_ADMIN   --restart unless-stopped --privileged -dit -v /dev/log:/dev/log --name loxilb ghcr.io/loxilb-io/loxilb:latest

What happens to running services during such an update ?

• loxilb will usually be deployed in a cluster mode. And each node/docker can be updated one at a time without any major disruptions.
