Possible to return only one property from included relations as an array of strings instead of array of related model (object)??

Here is my filter:

What I'm trying to figure out is how I can return just the "VERISON" within the subclasses array as such below:

In my animals.controller.ts, I was able to manipulate the request and got what I wanted but I do not like the approach. It just seems like it's going to very confusing to other developers about the process of how data is being returned and I feel it's not intuitive so I'm hoping that there are better options.

I had to do some workarounds such as setting the subclasses (that gets returned with the response) to any[] instead of Subclasses[] in my animals.model.ts

then I proceeded to do some "post-processing" below:
