Hello all,

I use a Raspberry 4 with Raspberry touch screen (800x480), I have a custom os built from Yocto. I use the tslib driver to use my touch screen.

All works that i want it but, when I touch my screen, tslib: Selected device is not a Linux input event device error flood my console (serial debug console) and create perfomances drops.

Can you help me please ?

Thank you in advance.

I don't find the problem but I found an alternative :

I changed my DM, from LXDE to XFCE4.

I have exactly the same problem but I'm not using any desktop environment just openbox as a window manager. Do you have any idea how I can fix that?

I've found a solution!
I'm using RPi CM4, building a custom OS using buildroot (using rasberrpypicm4io_64_defconfig). I've tested with two LCD models from Waveshare and both worked well:
-7inch IPS/QLED (70H-1024600-IPS-CT-B)
-7inch Capacitive Touch Screen LCD (C)
Running x server (startx) with openbox session.
Libraries version:
tslib v1.23
xf86-input-tslib v0.0.7

Configurations:
1- Change first line of /etc/ts.conf as bellow:
module_raw waveshare vid_pid=0eef:0005 len=25
2- Add a configuration file for the touchscreen event (in my case it was event2, you can check yours in /dev/input) in /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/99-touchscreen.conf (create the sub dir xorg.conf.d if not existed):

Section "InputClass"
    Identifier "WaveShare Touchscreen"
    MatchIsTouchscreen "on"
    MatchDevicePath "/dev/input/event2"
    Driver "evdev"
    Option "Device" "/dev/input/event2"
EndSection

You can either use evdev or libinput as driver.
ts_calibrate doesn't work for me but doesn't matter cause the touchscreen works well for me without calibration.
