Upon inspecting the gh-pages deployment branch it seems that any html file which was renamed instead of changed still persists! This means users can still refer to these pages with an explicit link (even though the root navigation will not lead them there). This seems really bad!
I dug a bit deeper and, believe this is a bug/oddity in the way the Project Pythia deploy action is implemented. Will raise an issue over there!

This is actually fixed by ProjectPythia/cookbook-actions#129, but Ill leave this open until that PR is merged and we rebase on a released version of the pythia workflows.
I just got sent a link to this https://leap-stc.github.io/policies/users_roles.html#proposal-process and noticed that this is an old page generated by a previous version of the docs! This should not exist anymore!
