Hi!
I'm not sure, but it seems to me that there is some kind of octaves shift. For example, the C4 note on notation (in the middle) is actually on C5 in this app.

Unfortunately, octave numbering is not fully standardized for software platforms, can be inconsistent in different tools. For this tool, C5 is middle C. It might be changed in the future, but for now the octave range used is tied to some internal representations for music.

Thanks for the info. I thought the octave numbering was already standardised with middle C being A4. I also see it jumps about on this tool as on some screen configurations it is C6.

It's still a brilliant piece of software and helping me no end.

Hi, Thanks for the awesome app! I connect my guitar using roland synth to use MIDI in, it works great. I just noticed that on your app it detects the pitch (octave) of the notes wrong and it's always one octave lower in notation. Is this a related issue to what is being discussed here?
all the other applications like notion detect the pitch correctly. Thanks!
