When I click the edit button after scrolling to a very specific section of a long note, I am back at the very beginning of the note and I have to scroll all over again.

When I click the edit button after scrolling to a very specific section of a long note, I am back at the very beginning of the note and I have to scroll all over again.

Expected behaviour

When I click the edit button I should stay approximately where I was in the note.

I think it has always been like this, so retaining the position when switching to edit mode would be an enhancement. The following item was created recently to track an enhancement to remember editing state. Potentially that would be the same thing that you are asking but I'm not entirely sure if the proposal would be a full or only partial resolution to the issue:
