Nagios plugin for checking various parameters on a FreeSWITCH system

check_freeswitch_health.pl is a plugin for Nagios that checks various health parameters on a FreeSWITCH server. It takes advantage of the fs_cli FreeSWITCH command-line tool. It may be extended to check practically anything that fs_cli can check.

Installation/Usage

Sample nrpe.cfg command line: command[check_freeswitch_health]=/usr/lib64/nagios/plugins/check_freeswitch_health.pl $ARG1$

and on the Nagios server, corresponding commands and services may be:

    command_line    $USER1$/check_nrpe -H $HOSTADDRESS$ -c check_freeswitch_health $ARG1$
  }
  define service {
    host_name       freeswitch01

To Do

  • Refine the use of the $perfdatatitle (better logic on selecting the title)
  • First check for the fs_cli command, and report back via cmd line output and perfdata if can't find
