Would you consider adding a list of keywords for each of the emoji? Something like the emoji.json or emoji_strategy.json files in Ranks/emojione
If that were the case, the emojione repo could probably even just include this repo as a dependency, and other developers could make use of the keywords in the metadata as well.

@losttime Thanks for the idea. I'm not sure how this repo will eventually develop. Maybe adding keywords will be desired at some point but not at this time. Trying to develop a general standard for alpha codes/shortnames is the primary intention here and is enough at the moment. Keywords can be more subjective so opening things up to various submissions and opinions is too much for us to take on right now. As you can see this repo hasn't received much attention. Other items have been taking precedence. We just can't consider adding to the maintenance.
