Does it first require that I add virtual devices via the MultiChannel app?

I believe this should still work, but the multichannel app now handles the RSM2 and there is really no need to use this custom code anymore. If using this code, you would use both the app and the device type here, and wouldn't use the multichannel app (I doubt they work together).

You probably just want to use the new multichannel capability. I have at least one of my RSM2's now using that and the end result is the same. I forget if you need to add the virtual switches first and then associate them, or if it creates them automatically when defining the multichannel device... sorry it's been a while since I reconfigured to test the built-in multichannel functionality, but I know it works!
