Help with artist credits/roles

I've made a Flask app to try and restore a function of the old UI where you could access an artist's credits and see them in chronological order of original release date (currently new UI will order them with reissue year taking precedence over original year).

• Am I right in saying there is no way to filter for certain roles with the artists/?/releases? request? (EG: Only show me Technical credits for this Artist)
• I am seeing 'Recorded By' roles as 'Appearance'. Example: https://api.discogs.com/artists/7694569/releases the release 'DREK' by Sugar Horse is listed as 'Appearance' but it is a 'Recorded By' credit which is classified as a Technical credit and not an Appearance isn't it? https://www.discogs.com/artist/7694569-Lorenzo-Cecchi?superFilter=Technical - Is this an error with the way Discogs API reports on this sort of thing, or am I doing something wrong?
