4 bytes instruction instead 8 bytes

How do I use 4 bytes instruction for hooking THUMB based .so file instead 8 bytes? I heard about dobby_enable_near_branch_trampoline() but I inspected the memory and it still using 8 bytes. Why I need 4 bytes because I'm hooking a function that has 6 bytes
