The information in this article applies to:

- Microsoft Mail Host Access for IBM PROFS and OfficeVision, version 3.4a
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

SYMPTOMS
========

You are running the Microsoft Mail Gateway to PROFS Host Access and an incident
report is sent to the "inform id" defined in "pwainit data." The first two lines
of the incident report are:

  Incident report xx/xx/xx xx:xx:xx
  PWABFRD XEDIT EPSSACSS LISTFILE failed RC=88

CAUSE
=====

When PWABFRD has built the EPSSACSS LISTFILE, it attempts to XEDIT the file.
With large user lists, XEDIT stops with the following error:

  RC=88 - File too large for virtual storage.

RESOLUTION
==========

PWABFRD was rewritten to build the EPSSACSS LISTFILE in sections. This helped
cut down on the massive virtual storage requirement. Thus, we are not as likely
to run out of virtual storage.

New PWABFRD.CEX built to fix logic errors in code. PWABFH2L and PWABFL2H rebuilt
to expand counters from 2 bytes to 4 bytes.

STATUS
======
