Users are not allowed to create Issues directly in this repository—create a Discussion first.
Unlike most other projects, mise does not use the issue tracker for discussion or feature requests. Instead, we use GitHub discussions for that. Once a discussion reaches a point where a well-understood, actionable item is identified, it is moved to the issue tracker. This pattern makes it possible for me to know what to work on without issues getting lost in the noise.
Before this policy, mise was receiving 10+ issues a day almost all of which were a result of misconfiguration, not searching for existing issues, feature requests for things we already have or have a substitute for, and similar issues. This policy helps me to focus on improving mise which ultimately is better for all of us.
Note that mise has reached a mature stage. New features are not likely to be picked up even if they have an accompanying PR. Make sure you speak to me first before building something to make sure I'll actually be willing to maintain your feature.
Any Discussion which clearly identifies a problem in mise and can be confirmed or reproduced will be converted to an Issue by @jdx.
