Problem: I have two Farm 24XLs in my living room and the LEDs can be bright enough to blind me. Turning them off and on manually is inconvenient so I end up wallowing in my first-world problems.
Solution: I'd like a way to turn the LED panels on/off via home assistant to enable an automation that turns the panels off when I'm in the living room. It would also be nice if I could control each LED panel independently and set a dim percentage for each one.
Alternatives:
Power the LED panels externally (I believe a 48V1A power supply would work) and hook up the power supply to a smart plug. Cons: Expensive, lose the ability to dim.
Add a smart relay between the Aerogarden and the LED panels. Can someone please suggest the appropriate relay in the comments?
Any other suggestions?
Thanks for considering this upgrade. I think it would help a lot of people
