Says "Failed to open file... can't scroll" but it's only half right

Better Search views usually works well, but sometimes, it says in an error message box that it can't open a file, and therefore can't scroll to a line (screenshot, sample file attached). But it's only half right, as it does successfully open the file, but then doesn't scroll to the line.
