Interstellar Framework - Home

Author: Isaac Ostler

This page is currently undergoing maintenance, I apologize for the lack of documentation. Please be aware that I will finish this wiki as soon as I have a chance to.

About

The Interstellar Framework was first conceived in October of 2016. The imagineers, Isaac Ostler and Connor Widtfeldt, were frustrated with the lack of flexibility the current frameworks simulation software offered. Traditionally, simulation software frameworks have been written is strange dying languages, which were rapidly depreciated. This made long term development of controls frustrating, and difficult to maintain. Thus, from the darkness, the first spark of what would become known as Interstellar was cast... and after many months of development, an early alpha state has been achieved!

Disclaimer

Interstellar is NOT finished! And plans are in place to almost completely rewrite the client and server. These were both written when the author (Isaac Ostler) was first learning Node. As a result, the code is messy, inefficient, and poorly documented. As of July 2017, all efforts are being placed on expanding the card library of Interstellar and getting the software to a useable state, once this is achieved the next plans will be to touch up mistakes made in the past. Luckily, Interstellar is by design extremely compartmentalized, making these updates in the future possible.
