TEXT BAR ONLY TYPING ON THE RIGHT SIDE

I hope you can help me. I have tried everything and cannot fix this issue. The text box only allows me to type on the right side with limited space. This is only happening on my laptop. As you can see in my attached picture, the max number of characters the space will allow is. PLEASE HELP IF YOU CAN!
