there is some very useful info in this repo like WaterML2, STA, EDR, and JSON (WIP) #21
however this repo doesn't contain much other info and documentation lives in docs.geoconnex.us
this repo has poor discoverability
- it is highly convenient to have as much related info all in the same place

I think that the waterml story could be moved to an issue on docs.geoconnex.us and then we can deprecate and eventually get rid of this repo.
