That is strange... does it appear to make progress (I see the progress bar at ~75% in the screenshot) for the download, or is this failure thrown immediately?

SAME PROBLEM HERE!!! I'm on a Windows 8.1 computer. Never even get to the download stage, the error comes up immediately. Help!

Does not work on earlier versions of Windows.
Works ok on Windows 10 and Windows 11

The files get loaded in Program Files>Audacity>OpenVivo-models
C:\Program Files\Audacity\openvino-models
Hope this helps!

I'm using 8.1. it's the installer that crashes. I've downloaded the files and the source code. I just need to know where the files go. And any registry entrys that need to be imported to the registry. I'm pretty sure I can get it to run if I had the proper directory structure, so I could install them manually. I understand if you can't provide that. Just thought I would ask. Thanks for getting back to me on this. Plus9dB996 James Stoll

There is some information about how to populate the openvino-models folder at the end of the Windows build documentation here: https://github.com/intel/openvino-plugins-ai-audacity/tree/main/doc/build_doc/windows#installing-the-openvino-models
