I am trying to get a reliable Wifi connection to the Intel Aero so I have attached an Edimax Realtex Wifi dongle to the USB port, and it is reliable for the most part. However, every two minutes exactly, the wifi connection excessively lags for about 4-5 seconds. During this period of excessive lag, unusable ssh, dropped pings, etc., the Intel Aero emits a high pitched whining noise.

Has anyone seen this and/or know what might be causing this?
