De soortenlijst bevat momenteel enkel kingdom en scientificName. Daardoor is subselectie van groepen in de checklist op GBIF beperkt tot kingdom: https://www.gbif.org/species/206113506, met daaronder direct de soorten.

Om meer gericht zoeken toe te laten, zou het handig zijn mocht de hogere taxonomie worden toegevoegd vanuit waarnemingen.be:

  • phylum
  • class
  • order
  • (superfamily)
  • family
  • (subfamily)
  • (tribe)
  • (subtribe)
  • genus

Discussed in online meeting. Waarnemingen.be only contains family and genus (derived from scientificName) as higher classification. Since it is useful, it was decided to include these two fields in the new update, after kingdom.
