We should start thinking about the other chassis organisms and the part libraries we would want for those organisms. To begin, we need some ideas for a chassis list. I've listed some ideas below - please comment and add ideas:

  • Vibrio natrigins
  • Bacillus subtilis
  • Pseudomonas putida
  • Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803
  • Corynebacterium glutamicum
  • Cell free (see issue 110)

I would also add the bacterium Thermus thermophilus (thermophilic extremophile due to its potential to produce most of the enzymes involved in PCR).
