I am working on a case where I need information on change in velocity distribution function. My study involves gas flowing in from an "inlet" at one end and escape from the "outlet" at the other end (imagine a hollow cylinder). Pressure inlet condition, diffuse reflection at the walls. and a deletion patch at both outlet (for vacuum outlet) and inlet is used. I do get sufficient information on several parameters, but I am interested to know how the velocity distribution function changes along the axis. I believe dsmcVelocityDistributionZone can be used to acquire the kind of information I am looking for.
However, I have never used this before, can someone explain where and how to use this? I could not find any tutorial using it.
