SylphyHorn fails to load on Windows 11 24H2 Build 26100.1742

Just a heads up, the latest version of windows 26100.1742 is breaking Sylphy again.

I tried removing the virtualdesktop***.generated.dll but it did not resolve the issue.

Have now been updated to 26100.1882
SylphyHornPro is still broken. tried deleting the .generated.dll just in case.

Any other suggestions?

@FindHao, I've been using VirtualDesktopHelper which has some of the functionality of SylphyHorn (sadly is lacking) but doesn't seem to break when MS updates stuff while we wait for a resolution to the current issue.

The only functionality I need is the shortcuts moving windows to left/right virtual desktop. Unfortunately, VirtualDesktopHelper doesn't support it. :(

The solution I'm currently using is the AutoHotKey, and it looks like a lot of people are interested in getting it in powertoys.

I'm still on 23H2 22631.4317. I used to be on the Insider channel years ago for Win10, but I don't do that anymore just to avoid things like this. Not looking forward to getting 24H2 forced on me before this is fixed, as I use the shortcuts to move windows between workspaces all the time.

I’m not running Insider builds. Windows 11 24H2 build 26100.2033 was released earlier this month (on 8 October 2024).

I'm using images from Lenovo for ThinkPad laptops and ThinkStation workstations, so maybe that's why the updates are being delayed for me. I can't think of any other reason. The Lenovo images are completely crapware free.

I mostly use clean builds from Microsoft sources, which are probably more up-to-date than builds distributed by OEMs. It can make sense to use OEM builds if there are driver issues that prevent up-to-date builds from working with particular hardware.
