As underpass shifts to more focus on data quality, a document needs to be created with data quality goals. There are two types of data quality analysis. The 1st is what can be done in a minute time frame using replication files, and the 2nd is using raw data. Raw data can be accessed either real-time for smaller polygons, or using dumps from GeoFabrik or Export Tool. There are several tools that do data validation, OSMCha, Osmose, OSMInspector, JOSM validator, and Atlas. These all use Overpass, so a variation of processing raw data.

A list of what data validation can be done with replication files, with and without access to raw OSM data, and what can be done processing disk based data extracts needs to be created to guide the development roadmap.

There is progress for this document as we've discussed data quality checks that are a priority right now.

But I'll not close the issue because we still need to create a detailed document of the current data quality checks and also the ones we'll add later this year.
