egpu-switcher gives black screen with a 4090 eGPU

I am using my laptop with a 4090 eGPU; initially, after fresh installation of the system and the Nvidia driver, both can recognize my eGPU but the display is only on my laptop screen; my laptop is connected to monitor via HDMI and my eGPU via DP, neither shows anything on the monitor. Then I installed egpu-switcher, reboot, only a black screen shows. Is this a X server issue maybe?

• Did you install egpu-switcher via ppa or via git + make

• What Linux distribution (+ version) are you using
  Tried both Ubuntu 22.04.2 and Pop OS
• What brand / model is your laptop
  With a CPU 13700HX
• What brand / model is your GPU (+ enclosure)
  Razer core X + 4090
• What drivers (+ version) are you using
  I tried both Nvidia 535.54 and 535.86
• What Desktop-Environment do you use (+ Display-Manager)
  The native settings for both
