Push rejected, failed to compile Go app.

My src directory is in this format

src
   -launcher
        -main.go

where main.go has package main like this

package main

func main(){

}

Yet, whenever I do git push heroku master I get

Push rejected, failed to compile Go app.

Any ideas on how to resolve this?

Remove the src directory and use go modules and you should be good.

Where in the directory structure is the go.mod file ? It needs to be at the root of the repo.
