DragGAN 에 이어 이를 Diffusion 모델에도 적용한 DragDiffusion 이 나왔습니다. DragGAN과 마찬가지로 이미지의 한 점을 움직이는 방식으로 생성 이미지의 편집이 가능합니다.
정밀하고 제어 가능한 이미지 편집은 상당한 주목을 받고 있는 까다로운 작업입니다. 최근 DragGAN은 인터랙티브한 포인트 기반 이미지 편집 프레임워크를 구현하고 픽셀 수준의 정밀도로 인상적인 편집 결과를 얻을 수 있습니다. 그러나 이 방법은 생성적 적대 신경망(GAN)을 기반으로 하기 때문에 미리 학습된 GAN 모델의 용량에 따라 일반성이 상한선이 정해져 있습니다. 이 연구에서는 이러한 편집 프레임워크를 확산 모델로 확장하여 DragDiffusion을 제안합니다. 사전 학습된 대규모 확산 모델을 활용함으로써 실제 시나리오에서 인터랙티브 포인트 기반 편집의 적용 가능성을 크게 향상시킵니다. 기존의 대부분의 확산 기반 이미지 편집 방법은 텍스트 임베딩에서 작동하는 반면, DragDiffusion은 확산 잠재력을 최적화하여 정밀한 공간 제어를 달성합니다. 확산 모델은 반복적인 방식으로 이미지를 생성하지만, 한 단계에서 확산 잠재력을 최적화하는 것만으로도 일관된 결과를 생성할 수 있으며, 이를 통해 고품질 편집을 효율적으로 완료할 수 있음을 경험적으로 보여줍니다. 여러 오브젝트, 다양한 오브젝트 카테고리, 다양한 스타일 등 까다로운 다양한 사례에 대한 광범위한 실험을 통해 DragDiffusion의 다목적성과 범용성을 입증했습니다.

Generative models are models that can learn to create data that is similar to data that we give them. One of the most promising approaches of those models are Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs), a branch of unsupervised machine learning implemented by a system of two neural networks competing against each other in a zero-sum game framework. They were first introduced by Ian Goodfellow et al. in 2014. Title: Rebooting ACGAN: Auxiliary Classifier GANs with Stable Training Paper: https://arxiv.org/abs/2111.01118 GitHub: https://github.com/POSTECH-CVLab/PyTorch-StudioGAN 해당 논문은 올해 Neurips 2021에 발표될 예정이며 내용을 정말 간단히 요약하자면 다음과 같습니다. 요약: 본 논문에서는 ACGAN 학습이 불안정한 원인으로 학습 초기에 뻗어나가는 특징맵과 분류자의 부정확한 예측을 주목했습니다. 이를 해결하기 위해 특징맵을 unit hypersphere에 사영하는 간단한 방법을 사용하였고, 이에 Contrastive learning 아이디어를 더해 D2D-CE로스를 제안하였습니다. Softmax 함수 대신 D2D-CE를 사용하는 ReACGAN은 CIFAR10, Tiny-ImageNet, CUB200, ImageNet, AFHQ에서 기존 모델대비 의미있는 성능향상을 보여주었고, 모델 아키텍처, Differentiable augmentations, 적대적 손실 함수, 하이퍼매개변수 변화에 강겅한 특징을 가지고 있습니다. 이를 StudioGAN 라이브러리를 통해 실험적으로 증명하였고, 특히 ACGAN 계열로는 처음으로 2048 배치 이미지넷 생성 실험에 성공했음을 리포트하였습니다.

We show how to capture the manifold of any signal modality (including cross-modal ones), by representing each signal as a neural field. We can then traverse the latent space between signals and generate new samples!
Such an approach enables our latent manifold to capture the underlying structure in different signal modalities, enabling us to inpaint images as well as generate audio or image hallucinations.
