Within the system settings menu, there is a slider to adjust the "activation threshold" (i.e., the "dead-zone" that interprets Momo's motion as rest in the presence of minimal levels of contractions). This adjustment should be moved to the calibration screen for better clarity.

Proposed Solution

  • confirm that the activation threshold is used with all control-policies
  • move "activation threshold" slider to the calibration menu
  • separate "activation threshold" into 2 separate settings (one for "left", one for "right")
  • integrate sliders and "real-time EMG" bars for ease of understanding

An example

This is an example from the ACE software suite used by researchers at the IBME. You can adjust the gain (sensitivity) by sliding the arrows to the right of each bar, and adjust the activation threshold by sliding the blue and green lines within the bars.
