There is an instance Monoid w => MonadAccum w (AccumT w Identity):

mtl/Control/Monad/Accum.hs

Line 163 in 6be8cb5

instance (Monoid w) => MonadAccum w (AccumT w Identity) where

But a more general instance that should exist would be:

instance (Monoid w, Monad m) => MonadAccum w (AccumT w m)`
