Last stable release was 1.5 year ago, yet there are constat commits to this package. Is there any reason it's not released ?

+1 for this. Why are there not more frequent patch updates/tags for composer? Cause having to wait 1,5 years for any patch to arrive is quite a long time.

actually there was an update in december last year to 1.24.4 https://packagist.org/packages/h5p/h5p-core#1.24.4
