Picking up from @kzisme at #425 (comment) ...

Random question - (I'm not sure if it's worth sending @whit537 an email)

How do you all list OSS contributions on your resume? Normally when I say I'm interested in OSS people say "Oh yeah! I use this "insert large OSS project here" but I don't contribute to it"

What constitutes a contribution? I'm a software developer - but I haven't contributed much code to Gratipay...yet so I would feel bad mentioning it under "contributions"

@kzisme I would say honesty is the best policy. You run Twitter for Gratipay ... that's not nothing. As far as contributions go, should we reopen #253 and find you a good ticket to work on? :-)

Maybe editing teams? I assume that would be fairly straightforward for someone who understands Python? (That's okay if it's not; I'm a PHP guy, so making forms to me is "doable" yet tedious.)

I like this idea of posting tested versions in the changelog:

https://github.com/marceljuenemann/angular-drag-and-drop-lists/blob/master/CHANGELOG.md#130-2015-08-20

We should do that for our libraries (aspen, postgres.py, etc.).

Having to use Gulp over on https://github.com/saxifrage/cityasacampus makes me glad we don't have to use it over here. Our asset system is much less brittle. !m us :-)

@whit537 I work Wednesday and I have a study session after I work. (These next two weeks are hectic) since finals and such.

I wouldn't be opposed to reopening that and working on something concrete - I'm also still refreshing myself on Python.

Currently changing my dev environment a bit - I was poking around to see if I could find your .bashrc or anything around with an example $PS1 prompt but was unable to. Do you have this published anywhere @whit537 ?

(sorry for off topic comment)

Nothing is off-topic on the Radar! 💃

I have the plainest of prompts, I'm afraid:

export PS1='$ '

Here's my whole .bashrc.

When I copy from Vim in a Terminal window on Mac OS, I often end up with trailing whitespace. Here's a magic bullet to trim trailing whitespace from the contents of the clipboard on Mac OS:

pbpaste | sed -e 's/ *$//' | pbcopy

Now, Mr. Kahle is giving up on his dream of creating a new kind of bank, one for social good rather than profit. He hopes to give the credit union charter to a nonprofit organization in New Jersey that can make use of it — or give it up.

Looks like I'm starting a new contract this week, so I will have less availability than usual for Gratipay this week.
