I'm still overwhelmed, tbh. Payroll seems a long way off to me.

We've got such a mess left over after the Balanced shutdown and the 2.0 upgrade. I feel as though we should slow down and clean up our mess before making more mess, but I also feel pressure to bring back payroll.

I'm working on security issues because that's pretty hard to argue with.

Apologies if you are trying to keep the signal-to-noise ratio high...but just wanted to say thanks 🙇 for working through the tough (and easy) stuff. Your commitment to transparency is incredible.

Thanks @jedahan, your kind comment is definitely not noise, and is in fact very encouraging. :-)

I guess this is a good opportunity to clarify my current situation. I'm essentially working on Gratipay half-time right now. I am able to put in full days on Monday and Thursday, and sporadic time elsewhere throughout the week. On Tuesdays I'm working for a friend who has a landscaping business, and on Friday I'm working for another friend on some programming projects. Wednesday is up in the air right now. At this point it looks like I'll be doing more programming on Wednesdays. Between this outside work (I also have occasional sax gigs) and my wife's part-time work, I can sustain this for a while. It means progress is going to be slower on Gratipay, however.

One thing that would really help is if someone was willing to help out with support. It doesn't require a ton of concentrated effort (in the way that writing code does), but really helps us provide a good experience for our users. Even if we can't solve everyone's problem right away, it's good to communicate.

Here's our doc for "How to Support Users." Is anyone willing to help out with this? I'm happy to train you.

I run out of funds for now, so I am going to seek some employment and/or external consulting to pay my rent, food etc. The good news is that the opportunity brings some talented lawyers and accountants within my reach in exchange for my services, so we may expect the Gratipay to open in Belarus some day. =)

Severe milestone. I am still trying to get rid of the technical debt on iGP.

Also, it is interesting why honcho doesn't use Procfile.

@whit537 What's the process for being able to assist with help tickets?

I found it at http://inside.gratipay.com/howto/onboard-yourself:
"Send an email to [email protected] if you'd like to join the support team."

@mattbk You rock! Thanks for stepping forward! 💃 What's the best email to use to invite you to Freshdesk? Drop me a line at [email protected] or [email protected] if you want to keep your email private.

I'm emerging from gratipay/gratipay.com#3588. That knocks out four security issues (one of which is already closed but probably shouldn't be quite yet). Our Security queue is currently split between GitHub and Freshdesk, because I've been waiting to see if we can move it entirely to HackerOne (#255). I believe we are at Security 10 and 3588 will take us down to 6.

@mattbk You want me to use the one on your Gratipay profile? ~nplainsathletes, right? (Your GitHub isn't linked: https://gratipay.com/on/github/mattbk/.)

We're at Support 49. That's what happens when we ignore it for a week, I guess. 😞

Okay! Let's build an awesome company! :-)

I'm relieved to have gratipay/gratipay.com#3588 ready to go. Looking back up at #279 (comment), I think the only thing for us to do is to keep chipping away. Here are the priorities I see:

  1. Security 0
  2. Support 0
  3. bring back account closing (bring back account closing gratipay.com#3461)
  4. subscriptions (show correct "giving" total gratipay.com#3511)
  5. history (add 2.0 payments to history pages gratipay.com#3455)
  6. streamline team review (streamline team review gratipay.com#3568)

How's that look to everyone else?

What is the delivery?

@chadwhitacre

@techtonik Sorry, what? Do you mean what emails are we delivering? These ones:

@whit537 this Account Activity picture is not descriptive. How emails deliveries are connected to reputation? Which service is that?

@rohitpaulk

The service is Mandrill. Reputation is decided by how many emails are successfully delivered (and something else?). A high number of bounces will result in a low reputation.
