healthcheck dont showup on varnishstat

Firstly, Thanks for your effort.

Upon implementation, I can see varnishadm backend.list showing upstream healthy and can see its probing at the required duration on varnishlog, however, I cannot see health check polls on varnishstat, is this expected?

it is, in the sense that we need to implement the counter framework in the build system to enable them in the code (since reqwest backends are generic, we don't get the counters for free)

good thing is that it was on the "we'll see if somebody care" list, and apparently, you do, so I guess this ticket is now an official feature request
