My Team's WorkflowMy team has 3 main meetings as part of each sprint: pre-planning, retrospective and planning Pre-Planning:Pre-planning looks into what issues should be brought into the sprint, where each developer within the team proposes an issue to bring in prior to the meeting and then argues why it should be in the sprint to the rest of the team and priorities it. Retrospective:Retrospective looks back on the past sprint to see how well it went, what could be done better and take notes about what habits we should aim to adopt going forward. Sprint Planning:Sprint planning is where all developers vote on the priority of issues which will be in the upcoming sprint and then vote on points for how long the issue should take along with the ordering of issues in our project board. My team, The Experimental Controls Group is a part of The ISIS Neutron and Muon Source. We develop device drivers for scientific instruments, handle data acquisition and develop and manage a GUI for scientists to control devices for each instrument using the test framework LEWIS, which can be used for emulating hardware as part of a test driven development approach. |
