Replacing mutter with openbox using sdm

Once you have sdm installed on your system, copy sdm-customphase and give it a new name, my-sdm-customphase, for example.

Edit my-sdm-customphase and after the lines

    #
    # INSERT your Custom Phase 1 customization stuff here
    # In Phase 1 all references to directories in the image can be direct
    #

Insert the line

sed -i "s/window_manager=mutter/window_manager=openbox/" /etc/xdg/lxsession/LXDE-pi/desktop.conf

Save the file and exit.

Then, add --cscript /path/to/my-sdm-customphase to your sdm customization command.
