Crash removing last variable from 1x1 scatter plot matrix

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. open a scatter plot matrix
2. remove variables from the matrix
3. removing the last variable (of a 1x1 matrix) causes ggobi to crash

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The behavior in other types of plots seems to be that variables can not be
removed below some minimum requirement.  Here, it would make sense that
variables should not be allowed to be removed from a 1x1 matrix.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Linux - Fedora 8
Ggobi version 2.1.7, September 28 2007
