scatterplot rescaled when point size is changed #177

Zoom in on a scatterplot, rescaling the data, then increase the size of the points. The scale resets back to the original scale.

We need to have a way to re-set the scale easily. But it should probably not happen automatically.

note changes to alpha levels do not affect scale
