Refreshing the cache this afternoon, get_iplayer complained that it had got a 404 Not Found error trying to download BBC Radio 4 schedule page https://www.bbc.co.uk/schedules/p00fzl7k/2024/w31 . This is the first time I've ever seen this error. Manually checking in a browser at the time confirmed the error. However as at this evening the page does exist and says "Broadcast schedule ended on Wednesday 24 July 2024". There do not seem to have been any listings since then.
This is consistent with the BBC's plan to end Radio 4 Longwave separate scheduling in March 2024.
The get_iplayer 404 was just a minor error, and for now seems to have stopped, so no immediate action is required. I raise the issue only in case there is something that needs to be done longer-term to stop get_iplayer requesting the now defunct Radio 4 Longwave schedules.
Provide the PID or URL of the programme you are attempting to download, if applicable. Provide the PID or URL for only one programme.
